Success Stories - Developer to Director!

Natasha Shaurek has been a Fish for over a decade – having started in June of 2012, she proved time and time again that she’s hungry for growth. Currently, she’s our Director of Product, managing all of Firefish Product Teams – App Support, Build, and Product Experience. Her journey is a true inspiration!

Natasha joined us in June of 2012 as a Junior Software Developer, and being a highly ambitious Fish, she started working hard and getting amazing results. She told us that Firefish creates opportunities where they see talent and with the company’s support, she managed to take on new challenges, overcome obstacles, and grow into her current role step-by-step.

Her journey shows us that no matter what position you start in or where you come from, at Firefish you can reach your full potential and achieve your goals. Natasha went from Junior to Senior Developer, then Lead Developer, to finally take over two out of three Product Teams as an Associate Director of Build and App Support. In October of 2022, she made it to her current role as Director of Product.

Natasha says she loves challenges and coming up with solutions to problems, as well as helping others with their career progressions – which is why she wanted to take on a role that allowed her to do both. She highlights how much support Firefish has given her and how the company focuses on individual growth, no matter where you want to go and what you want to achieve in the end.

Our Fish can test the waters of different roles and grow in the way that is most suitable for them – because we understand that growth is unique for every individual we take their individual qualities, skills, and aspirations into consideration, instead of just pushing them through a funnel.
