National Cupcake Week

We started the month in our favourite way - by eating cake!  National Cupcake Week is one celebration that we always celebrate because...well, why wouldn't we?!  We thoroughly enjoyed tucking in to some tasty treats, and the accompanying sugar high. 

European Day of Languages

Our Aquarium may be in Glasgow, but our Fish come from all over the world!  As it was European Day of Languages this month, some of the shoal recorded messages in their native languages.  Head on over to Twitter and follow @FirefishCareers if you'd like to meet Mike from Poland, Tommy from Italy, Marguerite from France, Minh from Vietnam, and Natasha from Macedonia!  You'll also see our shenanigans as they happen there, giving a great insight into life at Firefish. 

Fishaversary

Happy Fishaversary to Content Editor-in-Chief, Katie, who has been with us for a whole year! 

If you subscribe to our blog, you'll be very well aware that we share loads of awesome tips and resources for recruiters, but what you may not know is that it's Katie who manages all of this.  It's no mean feat, and also no coincidence that since Katie took the reigns we've won the UK Recruiter award for Blog of the Year!

Fish of the Month

Our Fish are a brilliant bunch, but when one of the shoal goes above and beyond we like to recognise and reward them.  Our Fish of the Month for September is Senior Developer, Tommy. 

It's been holiday season but Tommy has really stepped up in helping cover for his colleagues while also working on the complex technical requirements he's responsible for.  No matter how busy Tommy is, he's always fun and cheerful, and really lives our values of Strive To Be The Best and Don't Take Yourself Too Seriously!  Well done and thank you, Tommy! 

TruGlasgow

It's almost October, which means it's almost time for TruGlasgow!  

On Wednesday, 10th October recruiters will be congregating at Hard Rock Cafe for no fewer than 18 tracks lead by key figures in the in-house and agency talent attraction sectors - including our very own Wendy and Cameron!
