The shoal grows, even more!
The nature of work for everyone in the recruitment sector has changed immensely since March, but the Fish love a challenge so hiring and onboarding new staff virtually in the middle of a pandemic didn’t faze us…or, thankfully, this awesome lot:
John Mason – Senior Developer
The Fish had to adapt quickly to make sure we could provide our customers old and new with the perfect software for their changing recruitment needs and as a result, we needed to add another Developer to our Product team. And what a great Fish we found in John Mason, who joined us in May!
Our first ever virtually-onboarded Fish, John made a huge splash right from the start with his amazing coding skills, passion for developing the best product for customers…and a cheeky sense of humour that he frequently demonstrates in our online Friday Fish Bar!
Paul Briman – Growth Outreach Specialist
Having worked his way up to Principle Recruitment Consultant level before joining the Growth team, Paul knows good recruitment software when he sees it! He loves working with recruitment leaders to help them overcome the challenges of modern recruitment by letting them see the endless possibilities that are at their fingertips with Firefish.
Paul knows recruitment inside out and back to front and with recruitment CRMs often being highly utilised in agencies he was keen to work with a company that’s passionate about helping recruiters to use their CRM to attract, engage and place more candidates.
John McCann – Customer Engagement Executive
Could there be a bigger compliment than a customer wanting to join your team? We don’t think so, so we were both flattered and delighted when John decided to make the leap from IT recruiter to Customer Engagement Executive in our award-winning Customer team! John told us:
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Firefish so far: the role is brilliant as I get to speak to loads of customers and set them up for success using the software. It always keeps you on your toes and there is always extra you can do to learn more.
The team have been fantastic since I started. Everyone is always willing to help and it’s never an issue if you have a question. I like the fact that the Directors in the company are still very hands on and you can talk to them so easily.
I knew Firefish before I moved here and it always came across as a great place to work.
I need to admit, I love this job and the team and can’t wait to keep learning and working with our customers moving forward.”
Alana Brooks – Customer Engagement Executive
As a Customer Experience Executive in our Customer team, Alana loves helping customers with talent strategies and processes, and providing information to help them understand their markets and how best to integrate this with Firefish.
Having been a top agency recruiter for four years before joining the shoal, Alana is quite the expert in all things recruitment and customers have already been raving about the service she provides.
Vicky Young – Customer Success Champion
Our Customer team all come from recruitment backgrounds: as they support recruiters to swim to success with Firefish, it’s important that they know all there is to know about the recruitment industry.
Having spent 10 years working in agency and in-house recruitment, both in the UK and the Middle East, Vicky has a great passion for our sector. But why did she want to be a Fish?
“I was keen to become a Fish so that I could be part of a team and work together with like-minded people; to build my career and be a part of the overall growth of a respectable business. The product offered is amazing and a joy to be using in my day to day work. I love the collaboration and communication between the functions, the daily catch up’s and general positivity, not to mention the overall team spirit and access to technology and support programmes to make our lives a whole lot easier. Firefish shout about their values and reference them plenty with lots of transparency in what they do across the business as a whole. Best decision I have made!”
Welcome to the shoal, all!
