Awards season is in full flow!
If there’s a time of year the Firefish team love more than the holidays, it’s got to be awards season. It’s a great opportunity for us to catch up with our friends from the industry who we maybe don’t get to see as often as we’d like the rest of the year (too busy with the hustle) and of course, it’s a networker’s dream. As we were partnering up with the Marketing & Digital Recruitment Awards (MARAs) for 2015, we couldn’t not go. Besides, we invented the whole ‘drink like a fish thing’ and we love an excuse to go down to London Town for a knees up! The lovely Tricia and Liz from TEAM served as our gorgeous dates for the evening. Ladies, as always, it was great to see both of you and thanks so much for accepting our invitation.
Celebrating Success... and Winning!
At the end of the day, the MARAs are about celebrating success and winning and there sure were a lot of worthy winners in that room. The list of finalists was so impressive that the judges must have had their work cut out for them. So who won what?
The category we sponsored ‘Best Candidate Experience’ was won by Energize Recruitment Solutions. Firefish’s Chief Growth Officer, Alan, made the presentation and we actually had the pleasure of sharing a table with some of the Energize team on the night. We had a rare old time talking to Kate O’Shea who was the 2014 MARAs Recruitment Consultant of the Year and Indi Pahl who was one of the finalists on the night for Recruitment Boss of the Year 2015.
The gang from Cranberry Panda cosied up for some photos with us and their cuddly panda mascot (all about that branding, baby!) got in on the action, too. He obviously served as an incredibly lucky charm as they only went and won a Best Niche Agency award. Well done to everyone who was a winner on the night.
A personal highlight for us? Seeing the Firefish logo go up in flames! [Not as negative as it sounds- Ed.] Firefish. Fire-fish. Fire. Fish. Gettit?
