New Fishy Faces!
We’ve had some new additions to the Shoal! We’d like to introduce you to Ali, our newest addition to the Product Experience Team and Zach, who is joining the Growth team.
Ali joins us as our Senior UX Designer within our Product Experience Team, it’s fin-tastic to have you swimming along with the Shoal! Ali is a very brave Fish indeed, with his first day falling on our Focus Day in April!
Zach is joining the Shoal as a Student Marketing Executive within the Growth Team. Zach will be joining us on a 12-month placement as part of his university course and we are fin-onminaly excited to have him join us!

We’ve had a fair few promotions here at Firefish this month– SEVEN to be exact, which is fin-onminal!
We love it when April rolls around, because that means CJ Check In time for the Shoal. Every six months, our Fish are supported with clear plans for improvement in their current role and given oppor-tuna-ties for progression.
It’s a collaborative process, with the Fish getting a real say in what they want to accomplish and clear avenues to create their own success. We love to celebrate achievement in the Shoal, and CJ’s are a fin-tastic way to recognise and reward our Fish!
So, without further ado, massive congratulations to Sinead in our Customer Team, making the move up to Senior Support Executive. Emma has taken on the role of Finance and Operations Functional Lead within our Ops Team, with Paul being promoted to Senior Growth Executive in our Growth –fin-ominal work and well deserved!
Our Product Team has FOUR promotions to shout about, which is fin-credible! Tony has been promoted to Senior Developer, Steven is our new Build Functional Lead, with Lewis moving up to Product Experience Team Lead and Ross becoming our new Functional Head of Product Experience!
Shoally deserved by everyone, congratulations!
End of Month Winners
New month means new Fishes getting recognition! Every month we have an update on all things culture at Firefish, and as part of that, we award two Shoal members and a team for the fin-tastic contributions over the past month!
Fin-ominally Focussed Fish is awarded to the Fish that has had the biggest impact in their Focus Group over the previous month. April was the first month in our new Focus Groups and there are already some great ideas coming out which is amazing!
Emma, Amy H, Shan and Vicky were all in the running for the award, having been nominated by their Focus Group captains for their input andenergy so far. Only one fish can win, and Amy H took home the crown for the Breaking Barriers Focus Group – well done!
Fish and Team of the Month are awarded by our Directors, and it was close run contest in April. Our Product Team were smashing it out the park, with three of the four nominees in Colin, Steven and William, with Aiden – in only his first month may we add! – taking the fourth spot. In the end, Colin was announced as Fish of the Month, which is well deserved Colin! Customer Support were announced as Team of the Month; for their stellar work and fin-credible feedback ratings!
