Festive Fridays at Firefish
The Christmas Crew of Gabriela and Joanne did an awesome job of making the Aquarium look gloriously festive. We kicked off the month with our team lunch, and even won the SME National Award for Service Excellence on Friday 1st December - a brilliant way to start our month of celebrations!

Our celebratory mood continued when we received the gift that was top of the list in our letter to Santa - Application Support Developer, Niall! Niall provides technical support to our Fish Friends and makes sure everything is running as it should, while also working on technical improvements. Thank you, Santa: he's just what we wanted!

The following week was Fishmas. We had a great time with a quiz in the office, drinks at the Christmas market then off to a restaurant for a lovely meal, where the announcement of our Fish of the Year was made (well done, Ross!)
However, we weren't just celebrating Fishmas - this year it fell on our wonderful Data Analyst Stewart's birthday!

We'd had lots of fun over the month so far, so Friday 15th was all about giving something back to those who aren't as fortunate. We took part in the Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day, and collected donations for a local foodbank.

Our final Festive Friday saw us continuing our food-based theme (well, a Fish's gotta eat!) It's become a tradition that on our last day together before the Christmas break we each take in some yummy food to share, then we watch a Christmas-themed film together.

We've had a stonking 2017 and are all excited about what we can achieve in 2018. Instead of me carping on about it, check out our Firefish Year in Film to see what we got up to!
