Forget Dashing – it’s Cycling Through the Snow

We haven’t left you off our list on purpose...

Now don’t get us wrong, we love Christmas and the festive season as much as the next over-sized elf but there’s a wee bit of it we’re leaving out this year.

If you were expecting a Christmas card from the Firefish family then fear not! We haven’t left you off our list on purpose, we just decided to give the cards a miss this year and put the money to good use elsewhere. We’re still sending you all our warmest season’s greetings and truly hope the big man in the red suit makes the 25th a belter of a day for you and yours. Our Christmas card money will instead go to supporting an extremely worthy cause and one bloomin’ brilliant man…

Jane Hay was a fabulous friend of Wendy’s from her recruiting days. Sadly, Jane passed away in November 2013 and now her husband Dave is embarking on an epic adventure in her memory. Jane fought hard against cancer and was a shining example of all those traits great recruiters have; she showed incredible resilience, picked herself up in the hardest times and always kept smiling. Jane has inspired Dave to take on the challenge of cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats in order to raise money for 5 cancer charities; Beatson Cancer Charity, Maggie’s, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Cancer Research UK and Macmillan Cancer Support. The ride from Lands End to John O’Groats is tough enough but Dave is really pushing himself. He leaves on Christmas Day and is aiming to complete his cycle in seven days. Boy, it’ll be cold! Dave has named his cycle ‘Dave’s Big Icicle Ride’ and we’re incredibly happy to support this amazing guy.
