Firefish has been busy this August!
Another month has been and gone here at Firefish, and we’ve got some news we want to share! We’ve had our Summer Social, got new End of Month Winners to announce and new Fish to introduce so let’s dive in!
What Time is it? Summer Social Time!
We hosted our annual Firefish Summer Social at our Hub at the end of July and it was a belter of a day!
Amy, our Employer Branding Executive, pulled out all the stops to ensure the day was a fin-tastic success for everyone. As with all events held in Scotland, weather did come into play, with the wind assisting in the gazebo deconstructing itself!
After we'd dealt with our gazebo mishap, it was a truly fabulous day for everyone. Shout out to our very own David and his band Rise for keeping up entertained and dancing well into the evening! Here's to the next one!
Shoalmates For Life!
We’ve been on quite the hiring run over the past few months and that hasn’t stopped yet. We’ve got another new Fish to introduce you to this month, and we’re fin-ominally excited to have them aboard!
Liam joins the Product Team in our Build Department. His previous positions and experience marry up well with Firefish, and he is looking forward to getting started quickly and contributing to the team as soon as possible!

And the winner is…
It’s that time again, we’re announcing our End of Month Winners! Every month, we love to recognise and reward our Fish for their contributions to the Shoal, Focus Group or Firefish as a whole. Let’s dive into the announcing the winners for June!
First up, Aiden, our Customer Support Executive, took home the Fin-ominally Focussed Fish award for his contributions to our Keep Swimming Group. Aiden has been leading the way on knowledge and input, filling his team with confidence and setting the standard for others to meet. He had delivered so much over the previous month and has been pivotal in driving things forward, so congratulations!
Vicky was voted our Fish of the Month for July. Vicky has been knocking it out of the pond, with her effort, enthusiasm and level of knowledge recognised by clients and fellow Fish alike! She’s been a true leader in the Projects team, which has been recognised by the whole Shoal, so this award is well deserved!
Last up in our monthly awards, we award Team of the Month to the function that has made the biggest impact in the business over the last month. There's always so much competition for this as every function works so hard and contributes to Firefish and the Shoal, but in July Team of the Month went to our Product: App Support! Every Fish in the App Support has been working tirelessly to implement changes and tweaks to the system that our client love, we truly couldn't swim to success without them!
