Return of our Focus Days!
In May we saw the return of our bi-annual Fish Focus Day, where the Firefish family gets together to find out what we've been up to and to come up with a strategy for the next 6 months. This time, our topic was "Utilising Your Data Better", as a follow-up to our previous focus on GDPR.
What happens now?
Despite how it might seem, GDPR didn't end on the 25th of May. In fact, it's only just begun! But with most of the hype over now that GDPR D-Day has passed, what happens now?
Aside from having your data mapped out, your database cleaned up and your recruitment team up to speed with your new GDPR-friendly processes, you need to make sure you’re ready for anything the new legislation throws your way. That's right, you need to ensure your business is compliant. So it was nice to see all the things that Firefish has already in place to help you tackle these challenges, while identifying some final bits and pieces to improve. From our GDPR and Recruitment Compliance newsletter, to lots of fintastic features in development, we want to help you win this battle!

Customer Appreciation Week
The Best Recruitment CRM award was particularly special to us as it was all thanks to our lovely customers voting for us! And we can't really thank them enough, but what we can do is show them how much we appreciate them! That's why we have organised our "Customer Appreciation Week" from Monday 25th until Friday 29th June. We're running a number of free webinars, and there’s also a chance to win some Firefish goodies throughout the week - from Fish sweets and pens to t-shirts, and even some coaching sessions!
UK Recruiter Tech Showcase
Last week our Fishes Wendy, Joanne and Cammy swum down to London very early for the UK Recruiter Recruitment Technology Innovation and Social Media Showcase. At Firefish, we love exploring the world outside our Aquarium and this was a great opportunity to network, show attendees the latest updates from our software, and to catch up with friends old and new!
But it wasn't only the speed demos that kept us busy. Our CEO Wendy McDougall also delivered the keynote speech to the assembled guests and vendors, focusing on Google for Jobs. It was great to see the response from the attendees as Wendy shared information on this Google's new feature, the main concerns for recruiters and how to overcome them.
